Phynnja EH and Patton EH born on Liberation Day!

Yesterday, on the 75th aniversary of Dutch Liberation Day, we were surprised by the birth of two foals.

On the 5th of may at around 00:45 our 4 year old mare Lafinnja came into labour, after 10 minutes the whole job was done. She gave birth to a super cute bay filly by Deparon US. We called her Phynnja E.H., because she's from the world famous damline Finnländerin / Kebandina. Phynnja stood on her feet very quickly and found the milkbar all by herself. Phynnja is Lafinnja's first foal, but she understood what had to be done and shows to be an excellent mother.

A couple of hours later, at around 02:50, our ster pref mare Chivadora E.H. went into labour. But already at the very beginning, we saw that something was not right, the foal appeared to be positioned upside down, which made it impossible to be born naturally. But with the help of our vet, who could turn him in the right position inside the womb, all came to a happy ending. A beautiful chestnut colt was born on Libaration Day, that's why we called him Patton E.H. (by Le Formidable). Named after the famous US general George Patton, who played an important role during the libaration of Europe in WWII.
Dam Chivadora is a halfsister to KWPN approved stallion Joyride. Sire Le Formidable was champion of the KWPN stallion show in 2019.
