Many back
issues in riding horses are caused by a poor fitting saddle or an
unbalanced rider. The pain caused by this is often a reason for
stressed behavior of the horse, or bucking or rearing during riding. With our saddle pressure measurement system, we aim to identify high pressure points, before they cause problems that make medical treatment or correction of the horse necessary. Our saddle pressure measurement system is so valuable because it's able to measure on a moving horse. It consists of a sensorpad which is placed directly under the saddle, the sensors send their signal wireless to a receiver which is connected to our laptop computer, where the signals are analysed. Of course this system gives a more complete view of the saddle pressure than conventional measurements on a standing horse. Our saddle pressure measurements allow the rider and trainer to obtain an objective view on the local pressures that the rider and saddle put onto the horse when riding. A thorough understanding can be obtained, learning us where the saddle needs an adjustment, or where improvements can also be expected from the rider (rider not sitting in balance, bouncing, not centered, etc etc). Our equipment is suitable for measurements of all types of saddles in all disciplines.
