R.I.P. Carina & Jamaica Barina

Last night the most horrible scenario for every breeder came true at our stable: our beloved mare Carina and her filly Jamaica Barina died during the birth process.
Due to abnormal presentation of the foal (one foreleg under the body) and some other complications, a normal birth and saving of the mare would have been impossible. We and our vet tried hard to save the life of the foal, but in the end we lost both the mare and the foal. Thank you Carina, for giving us the most glorious moment in our breeding history, when you became overall champion of the CK Limburg when you were 3, you made us so proud! We will never forget you and your gorgeous black filly Jamaica Barina (by Ampère), who never got the chance to start her life, rest in peace!!
